Terms of Service

PubAurora ("we", "us", "our") is operated by PubAurora LLC, a Florida-registered company. We provide a manuscript formatting and journal submission assistance platform at pubaurora.com, including a companion browser extension ("PubAurora Assistant"). Contact: support@pubaurora.com

PubAurora helps researchers prepare manuscripts for journal submission. The platform:

• Analyses your manuscript using AI to identify research field, topics, and structure
• Recommends journals matched to your manuscript
• Formats your manuscript according to your chosen journal's guidelines
• Generates supporting documents (cover letter, title page, declaration sections)

PubAurora is a preparation tool only. We do not submit manuscripts to journals on your behalf and make no guarantees regarding acceptance or peer review outcomes.

To perform manuscript analysis and formatting, your manuscript text is transmitted to the Anthropic API (Claude). By using PubAurora you acknowledge and consent to this.

• Anthropic does not use API-submitted data to train its models by default
• Your manuscript is processed transiently — Anthropic does not store it beyond the API call
• We recommend not uploading documents containing unpublished confidential data if you have institutional restrictions on AI processing

Your manuscript: You retain full ownership of your manuscript and all content you upload. PubAurora claims no intellectual property rights over your work.

Formatted output: Documents generated by PubAurora (formatted manuscript, cover letter, title page) are derived from your content and are yours to use freely.

The platform: PubAurora's software, algorithms, formatting engine, journal database, and user interface are owned by PubAurora LLC. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute them.

You agree not to:

• Use PubAurora to submit plagiarised, fabricated, or fraudulent research
• Attempt to circumvent upload credit limits or access controls
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or commercially resell any part of the service
• Upload malware, exploits, or files intended to harm the platform
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Access to manuscript analysis is governed by upload credits linked to your account. Credits are granted by PubAurora and do not expire. We reserve the right to adjust credit allocations with reasonable notice. No refunds are issued for unused credits unless required by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PubAurora LLC shall not be liable for:

• Manuscript rejection by any journal
• Errors or omissions in AI-generated formatting, cover letters, or analysis
• Loss of manuscript data due to browser storage clearance or device change
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of fitness for any particular purpose. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the service.

Our collection and use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
